They talked about the band, the new EP and what's next in store for the five piece. Austin rockers The Dirty Heat stopped in at FOX 7's 'Good Day Austin' this morning to perform a few tracks on air. The band are about to embark on a West Coast tour next month in conjunction with their new single "Empty Spaces".
Oklahoma based news and culture online publication Red Dirt Report recently reviewed Darkbird's EP "I Remember Feeling My Fingers Slip" giving Rusty's score an overall 4.5 / 5.
"With a name like Darkbird, you sure as Hell better give me some dark, brooding tales of doomed romance with a somewhat hovering scent of black nail polish in the air or, if you must, at least some eyeliner-wearing synths with a minor degree in spooking old folks at the mall" RDR music writer Louis Fowler gave an in depth review of the record and had some positive things to say about the band. Read the full review HERE! Darkbird performed at Hotel Vegas last Monday night wrapping up what was an eventful FREE WEEK in Austin. The new music app 'Tipcow' were in attendance and had some fine things to say about the band and their performance.

Darkbird are Los Angeles' 88.5 KCSN's "Beard of The Day" - Julie Slater, the host of the 'Out On A Limb' segment gave the band the title and aired their single "Poison Arrows". John Laird, the new host of KROX 101.5 FM's "101x Homegrown" hosted his first 101x show last night and shared some of the finest up and coming talent Austin has to offer. Darkbird's single "Poison Arrows" gained airplay along with some of the towns newest and most popular homegrown tracks.
